Why defer?

From outgroup to outlier

I inch my way into the centre,

from working for approval to 

being granted authority
to approve or disapprove,

until I have an inkling,

see, that no unity nor
collective coherence can last long

without its traitors:

perhaps one of these traitors
is Me.
